Aka shigitatsu sawa

'Aka shigitatsu sawa' is the "red" form of 'Shigitatsu sawa'.  There is a blush of red during the spring, but the leaves are predominantly green during the summer.  This reticulated maple has dark veins with light colored leaves.  The edges of the leaf lobes are often wavy.  The layered growth pattern gives this tree a unique texture as it matures.
